Laine Ashker

Laine Ashker is a top competitor in both Three-Day Eventing and Dressage. Born and raised in the foothills of Sacramento, California, Laine joined the Sierra Gold Pony Club, where she worked her way up through all of her C ratings. Her love of horses
began in the womb as her mother, Valerie, a huge advocate for the Off-the-Track-Thoroughbred (OTTB), competed at the preliminary level in eventing until she was seven months pregnant. To this day, Laine continues to compete at the top levels of both Eventing and Dressage.

In Eventing, Laine has taken four horses up through the five-star level, three of which were OTTBs.
She also attended the Junior Olympics for eventing four times, earning two team bronze and one individual silver medal.

Laine has been honored to represent our nation abroad at the Hong Kong Olympic Test Event in 2007 and countless FEI competitions through the five-star level, including Blenheim CCI4* and Burghley CCI5*. Laine also won the National Eventing Championship (Advanced level) in 2013 aboard her long-time partner Anthony Patch.

Switching hats to the dressage world, Laine has ridden two horses to the Grand Prix level and has achieved her USDF Gold Medal status. She has ridden successfully at CDIs such as Global and Dressage at Devon and has achieved top placings multiple times at Grand Prix through Prix St. Georges at the Region 1 Championships. In May of 2023, Laine won her first CDI with one of her current upper-level dressage horses, Zeppelin.

Lainey is honored to work with such extraordinary horses, and her goal is to continue this journey and cultivate these partnerships as far as they can go. Let’s reach for the stars, all five of them!

Adding a UPF 50+ protective neck scarf to your daily outdoor outfit is a fantastic way to help prevent and minimize skin damange. Sun exposure is the most common cause of skin damage and wrinkling. Exposure to the ultraviolet (UV) radiation in sunlight causes changes to the skin. In addition to fine lines and wrinkles, UV damage causes brown spots and pigment irregularity, as well as broken capillaries and red blotches.
