Why I created the Magnetic Bandana

Four years ago I had a chunk of my ear cut off due to skin
cancer. I have ALWAYS been great about putting on sunscreen every single day –no matter the weather but apparently that wasn’t enough protection.

I started to wear a lot more hats and scarves to keep the sun off of me. I ordered a few different options of neck scarves and gators but was quickly annoyed with having to pull it over my face and remove my makeup.

After borrowing a sewing machine from a friend and a few dozen failed attempts at learning to sew from YouTube videos – the magnetic bandana came to life! Now with the

Most skin cancers are caused by too much exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light. UV rays are an invisible kind of radiation that comes from the sun, tanning beds, and sunlamps. UV rays can damage skin cells.
